The half marathon and 10km trail races at the Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival are open to the more accomplished runner. Perhaps you’ve entered a few road races of similar distance and are now looking for a fresh challenge, or you’re already a committed trail runner looking for that next event.
Each are one or two laps respectively on an undulating course which meanders in the valley, fields and woodland surrounding the stunning Royal Welsh Showground – passing through numerous farms and smallholdings with scenic views overlooking the entire site.
Entry includes a technical finishers t-shirt, unique wooden commemorative medal and the chance for your family and friends to track your progress around the course with a live tracking app.
New for 2018, competitors will now be chip-timed as they cross the start and finish line to deliver the most accurate timings possible, while family and friends can track their progress on a brand-new smartphone app.
With the event continuing to grow, the 10K race and half marathon will now have seperate starts in a new start and finish area, located next to a revamped race village.
