Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival 2017
Taking place on the 21st May 2017, offering a series of challenging but scenic trail races in the heart of mid-Wales.
Half marathon (13 mile) and 10k and trail courses start and finish in the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells and take in valleys, fields, woodland tracks and stunning forestry. The family-friendly 3k and toddler trail events offer something for all ages and abilities.
Half marathon and 10K race entry fees include a bespoke wooden commemorative medal, technical finishers t-shirt and free entry in the Royal Welsh Spring Festival – a celebration of rural life with entertainment, workshops, livestock, trade stand and a street food quarter – the perfect place to unwind after running the trails.
The event incorporates The Welsh Trail Running Championships and Welsh Inter-Regional Trail Running Championships.
The Trail Running Festival is delivered by Run 4 Wales, the mass participation events team behind the Cardiff Half Marathon.
The Wales Air Ambulance are the Lead Charity Partner of the event. We encourage runners to fundraise for them, with donations helping to fund their missions across Wales.
